PBS Books National Director and local resident Heather-Marie Montilla will talk about the Freedom Tower in Miami, which is considered to be the Ellis Island for Cuban refugees. Then, participants will discuss other stories of American migration and share personal stories.

Award-winning Visions of America is dedicated to share lesser-known American stories, sparking dialogue about individuals' stories as the 250th anniversary of our nation approaches.

Visions of America: All Stories, All People, All Places is a collaborative project of PBS Books and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
