Walk along the Prairie Path and build a journey stick. Journey sticks originate from first nation people in northern America. On their journeys, they would collect leaves, stones, grass and other nature elements and attach them to a stick with string, adding more as the journey progressed. The journey would then be remembered—with stories told based on the various natural artifacts on the stick—and the journey could be retraced on the way home. For grades k-2.
