Susan Kelsey, Director of the film The Negotiator: Billy Caldwell, joins Glen Ellyn Historical Society and Midwest SOARRING Foundation to discuss the history of treaties involving Native American people in the Chicago area. The group will also provide updates on the project to restore the McKee House at Churchill Woods into a Native American Cultural Environmental Center.

Praise for the film: Migwett to Susan L. Kelsey for your journey, your persistence, wonderful hospitality and making this possible. Special thanks for providing this piece of history to the world about the indigenous people who inhabited the land that is now known as Chicago. The film was wonderful, and I’m so proud of all the work that has gone into it.”  SAS Mitchell (Potawatomi) [quote from the documentary website].
