If we don’t understand what is happening in the brain with dementia, it may be difficult to know what we can and cannot expect from your loved one. LaVon K. Lenaway, Dementia Care Educator, will explain what dementia does to the personhood, personality, and experiences of a person so we can interact with true dignity, kindness, and understanding rather than unrealistic expectations.
