Dementia: Let's Start at Square One

LaVon K. Lenaway, Dementia Care Educator, will lead an introductory conversation for those who have a loved one, friend, or neighbor that may have memory loss, confusion, mild cognitive impairment and/or early stages of dementia. You may not be sure exactly why new behaviors or unusual situations are occurring, who to turn to, or where to start if there may be a concern. This presentation will cover some initial warning signs and examples, what dementia is, first steps to take, who the stakeholders in care should be, and how you as a caregiver can either rule out dementia or start to plan for a new journey into care.
