2026 Summer Reading begins

2025 Summer Reading | Plant a Seed, Read | June 1 - July 31

Like a farm grows food that nourishes our bodies; a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Both food and stories connect us to our family, culture, economy, and ecology.

Readers of all ages can participate in 2026 Summer Reading! Receive a reward when you register, and earn rewards for each 15 days you read or participate in an activity. Reading and activity days do not need to be consecutive!

Register at the Youth Desk, 2nd Floor Information Desk, or using Beanstack beginning Sunday, June 1.

Youth prize drawings will occur on June 29 and August 10. Participants age birth to grade 8 will receive a book reward for 45 days of reading.

Celebrate the beginning of summer reading at the Ice Cream Social on Monday, June 8 from 7-8:30 pm in the Glen Ellyn Public Library Parking Lot.
