Most maker projects require a design file that is uploaded to the software that runs the equipment. For this reason, the following skills are very helpful. 

  • Ability to use a keyboard to copy and paste 

  • Ability to use a mouse to double-click and left-click, click-and-drag and highlight text, and scroll 

  • Ability to navigate file directories, open and rename files 

  • Knowledge of how to use a flash drive 

  • Patience using a computer for up to an hour 

Tech Help One-on-One sessions and DigitalLearn.org are great for anyone who would like to enhance their computer skills. The library makes every effort to ensure that programs can be enjoyed by all. Learn to use the laser to cut basic shapes out of acrylic and assemble the shapes into earrings.
