Celebrate the beginning of summer reading at the library with an ice cream sundae, ice pop, or fresh fruit. Also, witness the unveiling of artist Richard Lo’s ukiyo-e style depiction of the library and enjoy a Hoop Dance performance and demonstration by Starr Chief Eagle. For adults and kids of all ages.
The library is one of several iconic landmarks in DuPage County represented in “Waves of DuPage: Beautiful Cities Public Art Project” presented by McAninch Arts Center (MAC). Sponsored by the College of DuPage and the National Endowment for the Arts, the initiative is part of the “Hokusai and Ukiyo-e: The Floating World, Artworks from the Chiossone Collection” exhibition, presented by the Cleve Carney Museum of Art and the MAC.
